Our Story
What began as a simple passion for orchids slowly grew into a family business rooted in care, patience, and dedication.
For over 15 years, T & S Orchids has been nurturing orchids in Sri Lanka, growing from a small setup into one of the country’s trusted cultivators. Every plant we grow carries the time, attention, and hands that care for it from the very beginning.
Along the way, we saw gifting differently. Most gifts fade with time, but orchids continue to live, grow, and bloom when cared for. That idea stayed with us.
In 2026, this became O’POTIQUE by T & S Orchids.
A natural step forward, where each orchid is thoughtfully paired with a pot to become something more than just a plant. A gift that lives on, bringing quiet beauty into everyday spaces.
What We Do
We grow and supply premium orchids while creating carefully curated plant gifts designed for both personal and commercial spaces.
From greenhouse cultivation to final presentation, each plant is handled with care to ensure it reaches you ready to thrive.
We also support our customers beyond the purchase, helping them care for their plants so they continue to grow and bloom over time.
From Greenhouse to Gift
Every orchid begins its journey in our nursery, shaped by daily care and attention.
Through each stage, from growth to preparation, it is guided by the same intention. To become something meaningful.
By the time it reaches you, it is more than a plant.
A living gift, made to be cared for, and made to last.
Frequently asked questions
1. How do I care for my Dendrobium orchid?
Dendrobium orchids thrive in bright, indirect light. Place them near a window with filtered sunlight (avoid harsh afternoon sun).
- Water once every 5–7 days, allowing the potting medium to dry slightly between waterings.
- Ensure good drainage — orchids do not like sitting in water.
- Keep them in a well-ventilated space with moderate humidity.
With proper care, your orchid can bloom beautifully for weeks.
2. How long will the flowers last?
Our curated Dendrobium orchids typically bloom for 4–8 weeks, depending on the environment and care. Cooler indoor temperatures and indirect light help prolong flowering. Even after blooms fall, the plant can rebloom with proper care.
3. What should I do after the flowers falloff?
Once blooming finishes:
- Trim the flower spike if it turns brown and dry.
- Continue regular watering and light exposure.
- Feed with a balanced orchid fertilizer every 2–4 weeks.
With the right care, your Dendrobium orchid can rebloom in the next flowering cycle.
4. Is this orchid suitable as a gift for beginners?
Absolutely. Dendrobium orchids are one of the more beginner-friendly orchid varieties. They’re resilient, long-lasting, and low maintenance compared to many other orchids. Each plant also comes with a simple care guide, making it a thoughtful and practical gift.
